My main desktop computer at home as been a little neglected for some considerable time. I bought a really cheap and small laptop

ASUS have introduced a new low-cost laptop selling for around £200 in the UK. The standard system runs on Linux rather than Windows (although this is now available as an option). For every-day use, the user-interface they have chosen and the free applications all look-and-feel and work pretty much the same as on Windows.
